ABSTRACT

El síndrome de Swyer-James-MacLeod (SSJM) ocurre como el resultado de una bronquio-litis obliterante en la niñez. Generalmente, este desorden es diagnosticado en niños, después de evaluar infecciones respiratorias recurrentes. Una de las razones para explicar la dificultad en el diagnóstico es que cuando los pacientes desarrollan pequeñas bronquiecta-sias y pocos síntomas no es fácil reconocer sino hasta la edad adulta. Existen pocas referencias de la enfermedad en niños, por lo que consideramos de interés su descripción. Se presenta el caso de un paciente de 4 años con síntomas respiratorios de neumonía aguda y se señalan los aspectos diagnósticos de mayor relevancia clínica actual.


Swyer-James-MacLeod Syndrome (SJMS) occurs as a result of childhood bronchiolitis obliterans. Typically, this disorder is diagnosed in childhood after evaluations for recu-rrent respiratory infections. One of the reasons to explain the difficulty in diagnosis is that when patients develop little bronchiectasis, and therefore, few symptoms, then this syndrome may not be recognized until adulthood. There are few references of the disease in children sowe think your description is interes-ting, we present the case of a 4 year old patient with acute respiratory symptoms of pneumonia, high lighting the most important aspects of clinical diagnosis today.

Objetivo: Establecer el comportamiento de la exacerbación de psoriasis asociado a estrés en pacientesde consulta externa del HUN y ESE José Prudencio Padilla, Clínica Sur de Barranquilla.Materiales y métodos: Estudio descriptivo transversal con análisis de casos y controles. Poblaciónestudiada, 385 pacientes (77 casos, 308 controles), asistentes a consulta externa en HUN y ESE JoséPrudencio Padilla, Clínica Sur de Barranquilla, quienes cumplieron criterios de inclusión y exclusión.La información fue recolectada mediante cuestionario, Test de stress Holmes/Rahe modificado y Testde conducta de Friedman/Rosenman, destinados a evaluar las variables: edad, sexo, estrés, tipo deconducta, antecedente familiar, consumo de alcohol, cantidad de consumo de alcohol, consumo decigarrillo, cantidad de cigarrillos consumidos, uso de betabloqueadores.


Objective: To establish the behavior of the exacerbation for Psoriasis associated with stress in patientsfrom external consultation of the HUN and the ESE José Prudencio Padilla Sur.Materials and methods: Descriptive transversal study with cases and controls analysis. Therewere studied 385 patients (77 cases, 308 controls), from the outpatient clinic of the HUN and theESE Jose Prudencio Padilla Sur, and filled the requirements criteria of inclusion and exclusion. Theinformation was collected using: questionnaire, Holmes/Rahe´s modified Stress Test and Friedman /Rosenman´s behavior Test. During evaluation the variables considered were: age, sex, stress, type ofconduct, family history, alcohol consumption, quantity of alcohol consumption, cigarette consumption,quantity of cigarette consumption and use of betablockers.Results. The average age of cases and controls: 29.9 and 28 years respectively, there was nostatistical difference in age between both groups with respect to age(t test: 1.84, p: 0.065) neithersex type (x²: 1.31, p: 0.25).
